[edit] proposed rename

I am going to move this to Geography of Jefferson County, Kentucky unless anyone has a reason to object. The direction of this article shouldn't be to just stop at the old city limits, so we could either rename it "Louisville Metro" or incorporate the county name... I think it's best just to go with the county name. --W.marsh 23:25, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

How about keeping it named the same but covering the full metropolitan area? Other "of Louisville, Kentucky" articles cover the full metro area, so why not this one? Stevie is the man! TalkWork 23:36, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
I was thinking about that... but geography seems a bit more fluid. The economy of say, Prospect, is inherently based on Louisville's... while Floyds Fork for example doesn't really have much to do with the old city limits. If that makes any sense. It just doesn't seem like discussing the county's geography as whole can be called a discussion of Louisville's geography. But maybe you have a point, it would be inconsistent on a practical level. --W.marsh 23:48, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
