I am also of the opinion that Kelisi's maps are preferable because they show in detail the borderlines of each region, the rivers and lakes details around the country, but i also know why people dont like these maps, is because of the type of font the user is using, and the definition of the colors, if that gets to change, i think they will love your maps Kelisi. mtmg_7x3; Sep 7, 2006;

For God's sake. This map is amateurish, blocky, uses garish colours, is horribly crowded and looks like it was created by a child on an 8-bit computer. How can you not see that this map, whatever detail it contains is vastly inferrior to the CIA map. By all meas replace the CIA map with a decent one, but this map is in a word shite. Those blocky, pixellated, garish maps createdby Kelisi are not appropriate for Wikipedia articles. They are not better than the CIA maps in any respect; they look unprofessional and diminish the quality of the article rather than improve it. If given a choice between two maps we should pick the one which looks best, reflects the best on Wikipedia's standards for quality, and looks like a respectable encyclopedia illustration. In this case, the CIA maps are by far superior to these new ones. --Fastfission 22:51, 1 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I have taken the issue to Talk:Guatemala as well, with a link here, as my argument is the pages should have different maps, --SqueakBox 23:06, Apr 1, 2005 (UTC)

I am of the opinion that Kelisi's maps are preferable if the colour scheme is changed to something more pleasing to the eye. -- UTSRelativity 23:10, 1 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I believe kelisi is doing that himself. See Panama for a Kelisi map with nicer colours, --SqueakBox 23:48, Apr 1, 2005 (UTC)

That map is unfortunately pixelated —UTSRelativity 23:57, 1 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Which means what? Problems altering the map? I believe User:Geni altered the Panama map. --SqueakBox 00:00, Apr 2, 2005 (UTC)
