Talk:Geoff Sewell

[edit] Comment
Why is the neturality of this article disputed? All the information is accurate and can be found on the band's website www.amiciforever.com, I highly doubt Nadia would agree with it being biased. There is a large difference between saying "Geoff Sewell has a heart of gold, Amici is all about charity buy their music" versus "Geoff has a heart of gold because he donates to charity". Again, why?

- More information can be found at www.amiciforever.com indeed!. The front office at Amici Forever was busy 23 June 2005. The page text is a rewrite of the Amici Forever press release, an on-line document: [1] and it looks it. Our "contributor", User:Sasha2084 from Amici Forever's front office, has not made any contributions to Wikipedia other than to market Amici Forever's talent, as a quick check of the User contributions reveals. When is a marketing ploy actually Spam? When it is reproduced without customizing. In that sense this entry is not technically Spam. --Wetman 17:44, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Oh for goodness sake...get over yourself Wetman!! Everything that's written on the Amici bios is common knowledge. I thought that was the idea about Wikipedia.......letting people know about a certain subject....facts, facts, facts which is all that's been printed here.
- Thanks, Wetman. Two things confuse me, though: (1) Why put an NPOV marker for this article, and not for the other four articles, which were also heavily biased (and hopefully less so now that I've edited them)? (2) Why go to all this trouble to complain about these articles, when they're so short that it should be easy? NPOV tags are only necessary when the dispute is so tangled that balancing the article is a long-term project rather than an instant fix.
- Also, while I agree that it's dishonest to use Wikipedia to advertise anything, I think that the best response is to Wikify and improve the information, rather than tossing it aside just because of where it's from or the motives of the person who added it. We can use the information provided here for constructive purposes, after all. -Silence 16:23, 19 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Geoff's departure from Amici?
Is anyone going to edit his page to reflect this? I'd be happy to do it, but if there are already plans underway... this page & the Amici Forever group page need fixing. Danypo 19:36, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
