I removed the "criticism" section because I feel it isn't needed. Many of the other comic book writers on Wikipedia have no such sections, and Johns is more popular than a large number of them. The argument that Johns wants to revert the status quo is also a fallacy, since he is co-writing a series that will fundamentally alter the DCU. The text I'm removing is as follows:

"Ever since the revival of Hal Jordan in Green Lantern: Rebirth, Johns has been accused by some comic readers of trying to bring the status quo of the DC Universe backwards towards the Silver Age, and his Teen Titans run has some fans believing he's trying to go back to the Titans' "glory days" under the Wolfman/Perez team. Despite criticism, he is a very popular writer. His runs on JSA and the Flash are hailed."

  • I reverted your Criticism removal because your addition to the Talk section hadn't yet appeared. If you revert again, may want to add the part you removed to Talk -Abe Dashiell 16:04, 3 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Started on Flash?

 I thought Johns started on the godawful Stars and STRIPE series? ('95, I think?)
Um, well, yes and no. He started on that series but it wasn't godawful. At any rate, he started out on Stars and STRIPE, then moved to co-writer on JSA around the same time he did the Day of Judgment miniseries, then later moved on to write Flash, Teen Titans and Green Lantern. So someone should change that, but I don't care to do it myself.208.135.167.124 04:11, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

==Photo credit==

Someone named Fplay deleted the portion of the caption of the photo in the artcile crediting it to me, giving as his only reason, the curt, No real name? No photo citiation. Um..................no. There is no rule requiring the use of one's real name in order to upload or include an image. The use of usernames is one of the most basic priviledges afforded to Wikipedians, and there is nothing on the Wikipedia:Images page indicating otherwise. All it says regarding photos or artwork that a Wikipedian makes themself (under the heading Making images yourself) is this:

You can take a photograph with your digital camera, mobile phone with integrated digital camera, or scan drawings or photos taken with a film camera and upload the image. Or you can create a figure by drawing it with an appropriate program.

Nothing I see on the page mentions any prohibition about Usernames. Thus I restored the credit. Please do not do that again. Thanks, and Happy Holidays.  :-) Nightscream 07:41, 24 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Overhaul Required

I just realized this whole section on geoff is word for word either copied from or been copied by ComicBookDB.com (Comic Book Database). With that and the need to update this to encyclopedic standards, im going to start the ball rolling on overhauling it, but I hope others chip in. --Midusunknown 08:40, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] List

I've added the list-to-prose template. Wikipedia guidelines deprecate such checklists. Significant milestones and career highlights from the list should be incorporated into the bio. --Tenebrae 19:09, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
