Georgy Beriev

Georgy Mikhailovich Beriev (Beriashvili) (Russian: Георгий Михайлович Бериев; February 13, 1903–July 12, 1979), founded the Soviet Union's Beriev Design Bureau in Taganrog, which concentrated on amphibious aircraft. Beriashvili was Georgian, born in Tbilisi (then Tiflis), Georgia and graduated from the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute (now Saint Petersburg State Polytechnic University) in 1930.
