Georgina Fitzalan-Howard, Duchess of Norfolk
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Georgina Susan Fitzalan-Howard, Duchess of Norfolk (b. 30 January 1962), was born Georgina Susan Gore, the daughter of John Temple ("Jack") Gore (1931-) and Serena Margaret Mounsey. Her parents divorced in 1969, and on 15 October 1969 her father married Antonia McMullen. He holds some ancestral connection to Earl Temple of Stowe. Duchess Georgina descends from Helen Snakenborg, Marchioness of Northampton, through the latter's eldest daughter Lady Elizabeth, married Smyth of Ashton (according to Leo van de Pas, Genealogics) - thus the Duchess is one of descendants of Agnes Haakonsdottir of Borgarsyssel, daughter of king Haakon V of Norway.
Lord Arundel succeeded to the Dukedom of Norfolk in 2002, and Lady Arundel then became the Duchess of Norfolk.
