Georgie Thompson

Georgina 'Georgie' Thompson is a broadcast journalist and television presenter for Sky Sports and Sky Sports News. She was born in 1977.

Thompson was educated at Queenswood boarding school, with now fellow television presenter and friend Natalie Pinkham, where she took part in junior international tennis competitions[1], representing England[citation needed]. She then studied Broadcast Journalism at the University of Leeds, graduating with a 2:1 in 1999.[2]

After graduating, Thompson worked as a production assistant on a research and production scheme for GMTV before moving to Sky Sports in January 2001.[2]
She has covered many major sporting events for the network since then, including the US Open Tennis and has been part of Sky's coverage of the A1 Grand Prix, Grand Prix Masters, Speedway World Cup, Race of Champions and Americas Cup. [3] She is a presenter on Sky Sports News,[4] often presenting Afternoon Report between the hours of 3pm and 7pm.
She also presented Sky One's Greatest Sporting Legends with David Frost.[5]

In the May 2007 issue of the British men's magazine FHM, Georgie was voted the 93rd Sexiest Woman in the World. [6]
She is a fan of Fulham FC.
In April 2008, British pop rock band We Need the Girls reference Georgie Thompson in their song "i like it". The lyric "Georgie Thompson's face" is heard multiple times during the soon to be released single.
