Georgia Taylor (born Claire Jackson; 26 February 1980) is an English actress, best known for playing Toyah Battersby in the long running television soap opera Coronation Street from 1997-2003.
In 2001, Taylor won the Best Dramatic Performance British Soap Award for the role. Since leaving Coronation Street, she has appeared in episodes of Where the Heart Is, New Street Law, Lilies, Red Cap, the BBC's Afternoon Play series and Life on Mars. In 2004 and 2006, Taylor played a recurring role in the Golden Globe award nominated series Blackpool and its follow up Viva Blackpool for BBC1.
In May 2005, Taylor appeared in a run of The Woman Before at the Royal Court opposite Helen Baxendale. In the same year, she received rave reviews for her role in Christmas Is Miles Away at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester and the Bush Theatre in London.
In 2006, Taylor played Fiona in the motion picture version of the transatlantic stage hit The History Boys. She has recently filmed a role in an independent short film Soul Shutter, and a small role in the feature film The Bank Job opposite Jason Statham, Saffron Burrows and Keeley Hawes.
Her radio credits include Dakota of the White Flats by Phillip Ridley on BBC Radio 7.
Taylor joined the cast of the long running BBC1 medical drama Casualty as series regular F2, Ruth Winters, in September 2007.
