State Route 34 Bypass is a 29.8 mile bannered route from Franklin in Heard County to Newnan in Coweta County that bypasses State Route 34 starting in commercial Newnan. There are many small back roads reconnecting it to SR 34 (Bullsboro Road/Temple Avenue in Newnan and Franklin Highway from Newnan to Franklin).

The western terminus is at SR 34 in Franklin. The eastern terminus is at Turkey Creek Road in Newnan.

Georgia State Route 34 Bypass starts in a rural area of Newnan at Turkey Creek Road. It passes through Newnan's Shopping Mall, The Fourm at Ashley Park, then intersects with it parent route, State Route 34. It then intersects with US 29 and US 27 It then continues to Franklin.

The purpose of 34 Bypass is to avoid the traffic of Commercial Newnan and Historic Downtown Newnan and Franklin Highway (SR 34) and Temple Avenue (US 27/SR 16).[citation needed]
