The Georgia Power Building is headquarters of Georgia Power, a subsidiary of Southern Company. The building is located in downtown Atlanta.

The building was completed in 1981 and is 299 feet (91 meters) tall. During the construction period, 4,500 US tons (4,000 metric tons) of structural steel were used.

When the building first opened, a solar cell field was on the roof; however, it was later removed.[citation needed]

Its 24-floors have a passive solar design, with each floor 15 or 18 inches (38 or 46 cm) wider than the one below. Because of this incremental increase in floor size, the building is known in Atlanta as the "Leaning Tower of Power"[citation needed].
