[edit] Biography

Horsley hails from Malton, North Yorkshire and has been working as a model and florist. She has 10 GCSEs, an A Level in Art, two AS Levels in Geography and Sociology, a diploma in Anatomy and Physiology, and a Red Cross Therapeutic care course qualification. Horsley's aim was to pursue a career as a media make-up artist and she was due to start a degree in design and media make-up at university before she won the title of Miss England.

[edit] Participation in Miss World 2007

Horsley has her success at one of the fast track events held during the pageant when she was one of the top 18 semifinalists of the Miss World Talent. In spite of being one of the early favourites of the contest, she failed to secure a place in the top 16 on the final night.

[edit] Slight Controversies

It was reported internationally when the representatives of the Miss England pageant committee asked her to "fatten up" in order to get a more "womanly figure" and to help end anorexia among models. She was even featured on the American television network NBC's Today show for this issue. [1]

Horsley has her share of cyber misfortune when a bogus MySpace profile under her name surfaced claiming that her interest is 'drinking' and her mood being 'horny'. [2] [3]
