Georgia Byng

Lady Georgia Mary Caroline Byng, (b. 1965)[1], is a British author of children's books and a former actress[2]. Her first writing was for a comic strip, and her first published book was The Sock Monsters. Byng's best known work is Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism and its sequels, about a girl who finds a book about hypnotism and learns how to hypnotize people. Georgia's first published item was a comic strip for kids from the age of five to seven.

Georgia Mary Caroline Byng is the elder daughter and second child of the 8th Earl of Strafford and his first wife Jennifer May (now married to businessman Sir Christopher Bland, a former BBC chairman). She was previously married in 1990 (divorced 1995)[3] to Daniel Chadwick[4], by whom she had a daughter, Tiger Rose, born 1991. She now lives with her second husband, artist Marc Quinn, and her three children, daughter Tiger (by first husband) and sons Lucas (b. summer 2001) and Sky[5][6][7].
Byng is the elder sister of publisher Jamie Byng of Canongate Books[8].
