After sitting silent for a number of years the speedway was recently reopened in May of 2006.[1] The speedway is currently promoted by Lou Johnson who is also a late model driver. Georgetown Speedway is 1/2 mile clay oval with racing every Friday night. Classes run at the speedway are Big Block Modifieds (Northeast style), Super Late Models, Crate Modifieds, Crate Late Models, Little Lincoln Vintage cars, and Vintage cars.
