Georges Polti (sometimes George Polti) was a French writer from the mid-19th century (born in 1868). He is best-known today for his list of thirty-six dramatic situations and for writing Art of Inventing Characters (ISBN 0-89984-388-3, originally L'art d'inventer les personnages).
