George Woodward was a college football coach in the United States. He produced a career record of 15 wins, 28 losses, and 4 ties from 1921 until 1926.

Woodward was the fifth head college football coach for the Fort Hays State University Tigers located in Hays, Kansas and he held that position for two seasons, from 1921 until 1922. His career coaching record at Fort Hays was 8 wins, 5 losses, and 1 ties. This ranks him 15th at Fort Hays in total wins and sixth at Fort Hays in winning percentage. [1] In his first year of coaching, his team won the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference championship.[2]

Woodward left Fort Hays to become the 18th head football coach for Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas and he held that position for four seasons, from 1923 until 1926. His overall coaching record at Washburn was 7 wins, 23 losses, and 4 ties. This ranks him 21st at Washburn in terms of total wins and 32nd at Washburn in terms of winning percentage. [3]
