From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
George Whitehead (August 27, 1895 — October 17, 1918) was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a leg-break bowler. He was born in Bromley and died in Lanwe.
Whitehead made two first-class appearances during August 1914, the first as an upper-order batsman, and the second in the middle-order. Unable to find form, he gave up the game and never again played for Kent at any level.
Whitehead died towards the end of the First World War at the age of 23. His brother, James, played a single first-class match in 1912.
