George Welcome (born March 9, 1985) is a Honduran football striker that currently plays for Motagua in Liga Nacional de Fútbol de Honduras. He was part of the Honduran U-23 that qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games. Because of his goal at the 108th minute, Honduras became CONCACAF Pre-olympic champions beating 1-0 the host, USA. On March 28, 2008, Motagua's sports director, Lin Zelaya, announced the signing of George Welcome and Levon Smith.[1] He made his debut for the national side on May 22, 2008 in a friendly against Belize where he scored one of the two goals to win.
