George Selvie (born March 6, 1987) Son of George and Twana Selvie. He is the current starting defensive end for the South Florida Bulls (USF) NCAA Division 1-A football team.

Selvie attended Pine Forest High School located in Pensacola, Florida, where he was Class 3A second-team all-state, He totaled 55 tackles with six sacks.

Selvie holds the Big East record for tackles for a loss in a season. He also holds the USF records for career sacks (co-leader), sacks in a season, and tackles for a loss in a season.

In 2007, Selvie was selected as a consensus All-American and was voted the Big East Defensive Player of the Year. In 2007 he had 14.5 sacks (currently 2nd in NCAA) and NCAA-leading 31.5 tackles for loss to go with his 59 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, and 13 quarterback hurries and blocked kick. [1] Played in the Sun Bowl, in El Paso, Texas, December 31, 2007.

In 2006 Selvie played as a freshman and totaled 84 tackles, 14.5 for a loss, including 5.5 sacks. He also forced 4 fumbles and recovered 2, had 9 hurries and batted one pass away. [2] He was the National Defensive Player of the Week, November 25, 2006, in a win over West Virginia. For his efforts, Sporting News named him to its Freshman All-America team.
