Another cricketer who played for Derbyshire during the 1919 season was named George Ratcliffe.

George Ratcliffe (April 1, 1856March 7, 1928), birth name George Ratcliff, was an English cricketer. He was a left-handed batsman. He was born in Ilkeston and died in Nottingham.

Ratcliffe played for Derbyshire during the 1887 season. His debut match, in June 1887 against Surrey, saw him score a half-century, however, his average tumbled beyond this point, and by the end of 1887, he was out of the team.

Ratcliffe, who was never on the winning side of a First-class match, was a middle-upper order batsman and an occasional bowler.
