George John Charles Mercer Nairne Petty-Fitzmaurice, 8th Marquess of Lansdowne (November 27, 1912–August 25, 1997) was a British peer, the son of Charles Petty-Fitzmaurice and the grandson of Henry Petty-FitzMaurice, 5th Marquess of Lansdowne.
His cousin, the 7th Marquess of Lansdowne was killed in action in 1944 and Petty-FitzMaurice inherited his titles. He married, firstly, Barbara Chase (d. 1965), on 18 March 1938. They had four children:
- Lady Caroline Margaret Petty-Fitzmaurice (8 January 1939–27 September 1956)
- Lord Charles Maurice Petty-Fitzmaurice, 9th Marquess of Lansdowne (b. 21 February 1941)
- Lord Robert Harold Mercer Nairne (b. 16 February 1947), married Jane Gordon and had issue.
- Lady Georgina Elizabeth Petty-Fitzmaurice (b. 10 January 1950)
He married, secondly, Selina Eccles, daughter of David Eccles, 1st Viscount Eccles, on 22 December 1969 and they were divorced in 1978.
He married, thirdly, Gillian Anna Morgan (d. 1982), on 15 October 1978.
He married, fourthly, Penelope Eve Bradford on 12 July 1995.
