George Petty-Fitzmaurice, 8th Marquess of Lansdowne

George John Charles Mercer Nairne Petty-Fitzmaurice, 8th Marquess of Lansdowne (November 27, 1912August 25, 1997) was a British peer, the son of Charles Petty-Fitzmaurice and the grandson of Henry Petty-FitzMaurice, 5th Marquess of Lansdowne.

His cousin, the 7th Marquess of Lansdowne was killed in action in 1944 and Petty-FitzMaurice inherited his titles. He married, firstly, Barbara Chase (d. 1965), on 18 March 1938. They had four children:

He married, secondly, Selina Eccles, daughter of David Eccles, 1st Viscount Eccles, on 22 December 1969 and they were divorced in 1978.

He married, thirdly, Gillian Anna Morgan (d. 1982), on 15 October 1978.

He married, fourthly, Penelope Eve Bradford on 12 July 1995.
