George Naccara

George Naccara is currently serving as the Federal Security Director (FSD) for the Transportation Security Administration under the Department of Homeland Security at Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts.
Prior to his appointment as FSD in May 2002, Admiral Naccara served in the U.S. Coast Guard for over 33 years, retiring as a Rear Admiral from a position as the First Coast Guard District Commander in Boston. Much of his Coast Guard career focused on maritime safety, security and environmental protection culminating in an assignment as Director of Field Activities with leadership and oversight of all U.S. maritime inspection, personnel, pollution prevention and response functions in the world.
Admiral Naccara graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy with a Bachelor of Science Degree, holds a Master’s Degree from Central Michigan University and was a Harvard University Research Fellow in National Security. He received three Distinguished Service Medals and two Legion of Merit awards, among others.
