George M. Smith (1912—) was a Wisconsin politician. He was born in Montreal, Canada, in 1912 and attended college in Winnipeg. He emigrated to the Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the United States in 1941, and became an United States citizen in 1944. In 1948 he was nominated for Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin, an office which he held for three terms, from 1949 until 1955.
