George Lee (cricketer)

George Henry Lee (24 August 18544 October 1919) was a first class cricketer who played one match for Yorkshire County Cricket Club in 1879 in the Roses Match at Old Trafford. Opening the batting he was bowled by Allan Steel for 4 and run out for 9 as Yorkshire crashed to an innings defeat, with Steel taking 11 wickets in the match.

His brother, Herbert Lee, played 5 matches for Yorkshire. He was born on August 24, 1854 at Scarr in Almondbury, Yorkshire and died on October 4, 1919 in Lockwood, Yorkshire.
