George Henderson (River City)

George Henderson (played by John Murtagh) is a fictional character in the BBC Scotland soap, River City.
George is the head of the Henderson household, being Alice and Raymond's father and Derek, Brian and the now deceased Kirsty's grandfather. He was also previously married to Moira Henderson, who died in a car accident caused by their grandson Brian. He currently lives with Shirley McDonagh, the two having previously dated before George met Moira. George has, however, been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour and is saying his goodbyes to the people of Sheildinch, including his estranged brother Robert.
