George Gordon of Gight

George Gordon (14 November 1741–9 January 1779) was the maternal grandfather of poet George Gordon Byron and a descendant of King James I. He was son of Alexander Gordon and Margaret Duff. He married Catherine Innes and had a daughter Margaret (Lord Byron's mother). He lived his life in Gight Estate, Scotland and died in Bath, England.
