George DeCosta

Reverend Fr. George DeCosta is a Roman Catholic priest of the Honolulu diocese, retired in 2003 by conservative Catholic Bishop Francis DiLorenzo. Father DeCosta, now pastor emeritus of Malia Puka O Kalani Catholic Church, is perhaps best known for his establishment of the annual Big Island Liturgy and Arts Conference (BILAC) that has attracted world-renowned musicians, artists, liturgists and clergy to share music, art, and their experiences with others. Father DeCosta is well known for his dedication to the poor and marginalized as well as unchurched persons.
