George Cook (footballer born 1895)

George "Billy" Cook (born 27 February 1895, died 31 December 1980) was an English professional footballer who's playing position was of a forward. Cook is best known for his time with Aston Villa. While at Villa Cook played 61 games scoring 40 goals. Before playing for Villa he played for Huddersfield Town. He also had spells with Evenwood Juniors, Trindle Juniors, Royal Field Artillery, Bishop Auckland and Rotherham County. He eventually left Villa for Tottenham Hotspur in June 1929.
