George Child Villiers, 8th Earl of Jersey

George Henry Robert Child Child Villiers, 8th Earl of Jersey (June 2, 1873December 31, 1923), was an English peer, the son of Victor Child Villiers, 7th Earl of Jersey.

He married Lady Cynthia Needham, daughter of Francis Needham, 3rd Earl of Kilmorey, on 8 October 1908. They had four children:

The Hon. Mansel Child Villiers married secondly (1946, diss. 1971) Princess Maria Gloria Pignatelli Aragona Cortés and had issue:

    • Cynthia Beatrice Child Villiers (1948-1949)
    • Mary Ann Child Villiers (b. 1951)
    • Maria Consuelo (Lily) Child Villiers (b. 1953)
  • Lady Ann Child Villiers (b. 1916), married (1937) Major Alexander Henry Elliot (See Earls of Minto, colls) (who died 1986)

He sold the Child & Co bank, part of the family's inheritance since the 5th Earl married into the Child family, to Glyn's, Mills and Co Bank in 1923.
