Geok Hu Keng

Geok Hu Keng is a temple that exists in Melaka for more than 130 years. It located at the junction of Pokok Mangga Road and Jalan Klebang( 2'12.29.96N & 102'13.00.02E.) The temple was managed by the Cheng Hoon Teng Inc in 2000.
The temple conduct rituals 8 times a month :- on the 1st,2nd,7th,8th,15th,16th,22nd & 23rd of each lunar month. During the rites, devotees can seek medical assistance and helps from its deities namely His Highness Siong Teh Kong and His Excellency Yu Xu Ta Chiang (Geok Hu Tai Cheong)
A fund named under Geok Hu Keng Temple was set-up recently to assist needy devotees. Services rendered in the temple are free of charges.
The Temple celebrates 3 major occasions which are the Birthday of His Highness Siong Teh Kong which fell on the 3rd day of the 3rd lunar month, Birthday of His Excellency Geok Hu Tai Chong on the 28th of the 6th Lunar Month and The Hungry Ghost Festival on the 18th of the 7th Lunar Month.
The temple was given a facelift recently. To visit the temple, it was located at the junction of Klebang and Pokok Mangga Road. The temple open from 8.00am - 6pm on normal day and 8.00am - 11.00pm during ritual days.
