Geoffrey Hinsliff

Geoffrey Hinsliff (born 1937 in Leeds, England) is an English actor best known for his portrayal of 'Don Brennan' in Coronation Street from 16 August 1987 to 8 October 1997. He had previously played other characters in the same programme, in 1963 and 1977.
He originally trained at RADA, before making his television debut in an episode of Z-Cars. He went on to appear in Adam Adamant Lives!, Dixon of Dock Green, UFO, The Professionals and Heartbeat.
Prior to taking up the role of Don Brennan in Coronation Street he was probably best known to armchair viewers for his performance in the popular comedy-drama, Brass (TV series).
He has also appeared in two episodes of Doctor Who: Image of the Fendahl and Nightmare of Eden.
Geoff (as he is now known) is married to Judith, and has two daughters: Gabrielle and Sophie.
