Geoff Shreeves

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Geoff Shreeves is a reporter on Sky Sports. He joined the channel in 1992, the first season of The Premiership.

He eventually made his reporting debut in 1999 alongside Clare Tomlinson.

He can now be seen the touch-line in key matches notably on Sky Sports UEFA Champions League and Ford Super Sunday live games, and recently appeared in a commercial for The Sun newspaper with Frank Lampard.

In an interview with Cristiano Ronaldo after Manchester United beat Middlesbrough FC in the 2007 FA Cup Quarter Finals, Shreeves repeatedly asked leading questions to the player about the penalty decision and why controversy followed him. Ronaldo replied "maybe I'm too good" and that he felt that others had an agenda of their own. Shreeves then presented Ronaldo with the man of the match award. United's manager Sir Alex Ferguson abruptly and abusively ended his interview with the channel on being asked by Shreeves about the same incident.
