GEODE is a trade association that represents independent energy distribution and distribution-related companies, as well as other organisations in gas and electricity, privately or publicly owned, in Europe. It was founded in 1991 and represents more than 100 companies in 11 countries, both privately and publicly owned. Geode is taking part at the Gas regulatory Forum in Madrid and Electricity Regulatory Forum of Florence, both organiized by the European Commission. GEODE is defending the interests of local distributors in front of energy authorities on national and international level and allows the exchange of expertise, the share of data and competence.
