GeoQuest is a former business unit of Schlumberger, which provided software products and services to the hydrocarbon exploration and production industry.

Products covered six major activities of exploration and production: interpretation and visualization, reservoir modeling and simulation, full reservoir characterization, mapping and modeling, data management, and drilling and production.

Established in 1984 as GeoQuest Systems, Inc. by five founders including Russell Herron and Jim Emmons, GeoQuest was later purchased by Raytheon Corp.

GeoQuest was sold to Schlumberger in 1993. In July 1999, GeoQuest acquired Merak Projects, a reserves, economics and field optimization software company. As Schlumberger began to integrate its acquired brands, GeoQuest became part of SIS.
