Hello, I am General Mannino, I hope to be the very first Space Marine to engage in combat against an alien threat like in Starship Troopers!

[edit] AfD nomination of Morita (Starship Troopers)
I have nominated Morita (Starship Troopers), an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Morita (Starship Troopers). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. [edit] It is factual, but is it notable?
It is also a fact that my foot has five toes. But my foot does not deserve its own Wikipedia article, and neither, I argue, does the Starship Trooper gun. Wikipedia has a policy of Notability that holds that only important topics should have articles in the encyclopedia, where importance is shown by non-trivial coverage in reliable sources such as books, newspaper articles, academic papers and so on. The decision to delete your article will be made by Wikipedia editors, not me, so you will have to convince them that this subject is worthy of attention. Please ask if you have any questions. [edit] Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/General Mannino
General Mannino, just wanted to get in touch regarding this page. You created this RfA a few weeks ago. I just wanted to warn you that it's not a great idea to leave something like this lying around. The danger is that another editor will see your contribution history, see the RfA, and transclude it to the main page, before you're ready to move forward with this. They're not supposed to do this for you, but it happens all the time. My advice would be to delete this until you're ready. Put a {{db-author}} tag on the page, and an administrator will delete it for you. You can recreate it whenever you're ready.
If you're interested in the RfA process, my advice would be to check out a few active RfA discussions. You're always welcome to review the contributions of the nominee and make your own recommendation. A couple hotly contested RfAs will show you more about what's expected than anything else.
Let me know if you have any questions about this. Darkspots (talk) 23:04, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
