I am a very occasional editor with a keen interest in historical accuracy and scientific exactitude. Although my contributions are brief, and my skills at editing wiki documents are obviously rudimentary, my interest is in raising flags around common assumptions that are untrue, and broad generalizations based on "common knowledge" when such knowledge is false.

Although my name indicates a disdain for technology (see Luddites I am actually a IT specialist and moonlight as a computer consultant. I have always been drawn to technology, especially logic systems. My concern with technology is the mindless embrace of the "new and shiny", the disturbing acceptance of the idea of "saving time" and the general obsession in industrial society with "productivity" as the measure of success.

I use a Apple Macintosh by preference, and the majority of my clients are "Mac" users. I run a Microsoft Windows network including Windows 2003 Server at my main job neccessity, and have recently begun dabbing in Linux, specifically Ubuntu Linux. I also develop databases using FileMaker Pro.

Regards.
