Talk:Genevieve

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

[edit] Disambiguation needed!

Argh! The page is half about St. Genevieve the person and half about the abbey consecrated to her. The section "Canons of St. Genevieve" for example definitely belongs to a page about a church or an abbey, not about the saint. (Possibly the page "Pantheon", since the French Pantheon occupies what used to be the Church of St. Genevieve -- I'm not entirely sure if that would be the same church that the "canons of St. G." would have been attached to.) Should "Genevieve" be used or "Geneviève"? Both are right now used... Lapaz 18:07, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

It's customary to translate saints' names. So drop the accent in English, except as part of a French place name such as "Sainte-Geneviève". Wegesrand (talk) 14:15, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
