I have restored the redirect from General to General Officer. Although this is not the only meaning of General, it clearly is the primary one, especially when the term is used without any other qualifier. (Someone who is looking for information about the General Lee, for example, is not likely to type "general" by itself in the search box!) --Russ (talk) 13:36, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
