Talk:General-purpose bomb

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I have read somewhere that British used an unusual kind of smart bombs during the 2003 Iraq war. Anticipating the need to fight tanks in an urban landscape, they designed a bomb that would make minimal collateral damage. They took a general purpose bomb and replaced the 250 kg charge with 250 charge of concrete. The guidance missile would make sure it would crash exactly on the enemy tank, eliminating it with a minimal area of destruction.

I was unable to find any further any information about this, would someone have some ?
