Subject: Re: Genesis on Wikipedia: a request

Sure you can use some photos. Just be sure to include a credit to the website. The Genesis information on Wikipedia is very good, much more detailed than I thought it would be. I would only make 2 suggestions:

- When PG left, Genesis wasn't looking for singers who sounded like Peter. In fact, several tried out who sounded exactly like Peter. They were looking for a different sound, although I don't remember if they said what difference they were looking for. Phil didn't audition, really. He was continually teaching the auditioners how to sing each part, over and over again...until the band looked at each other and said it was obvious who should be the singer.

- For the Six of the Best concert, PG's attempts with Amnesty were in financial trouble so he asked "Genesis" for assistance. "Genesis" was now Phil, Tony, Mike, Chester, and Daryl...plus Peter makes Six of the Best. It wasn't supposed to be a real reunion or they would have asked Steve, Anthony Philips, etc and billed the concert as Genesis Reunion or something. Steve learned of the concert after it was announced and contacted the band to participate. It turned into a real reunion of sorts for the encore only, when Steve arrived.

Good luck,

Adam
