Genoa is an area in Houston, Texas, United States located about 15 miles south-east of Downtown Houston; it was formerly a distinct unincorporated community in Harris County.

Houston annexed Genoa in the mid-1960s.

Children in the Genoa Township neighborhood attend school in the Pasadena Independent School District. The township is zoned to Genoa Elementary School, Lomax Middle School, Elmer Bondy Intermediate School, and Pasadena Memorial High School.

Despite being located in Houston, it is not served by the Houston Independent School District.
