Eugene Antonio 'Geno' Hayes (born August 10, 1987 in Greenville, Florida[1]) is an American football linebacker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the National Football League. He played college football for the Florida State Seminoles and high school football at Madison County High School in Greenville, Florida[2].

He was selected with the ninth pick of the 6th round of the 2008 NFL Draft with the 175th overall selection. Because of his undersized stature, workman-like effort on the field and his wearing of the number 10 at FSU, he is often compared to Derrick Brooks,[3] who presently mentors the young linebacker in Tampa.
