Gennadi Georgievich Volnov (Russian: Геннадий Георгиевич Вольнов) (born November 28, 1939 in Moscow) was a Russian basketball player.

Volnov won the gold medal playing for the Soviet basketball team in basketball at the 1972 Summer Olympics. He won 2 silver medals at 1960 and 1964 Summer Olympics and 1 bronze medal at 1968 Summer Olympics. Volnov also won 1 gold medal at Mundobasket 1967, 1 bronze medal at Mundobasket 1963 and 6 Eurobasket gold medals (1959, 1961, 1963, 1965, 1967, 1969).

He played for Moscow Burevestnik from 1956 to 1958. He spent most of his career playing CSKA Moscow (1958-1970) winning 10 Soviet championships (1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1969, 1970) and 3 Euroleague Championships (1961, 1963, 1969).
