Gengenbach is a town in the district of Ortenau, Baden-Württemberg, Germany and a famous tourist destination on the western edge of the Black Forest with about 11,000 inhabitants. Gengenbach is famous for its traditional Swabian-Alemanic carnival (Fasend), the historical medieval old town (Altstadt) and the world's biggest advent calendar (The 24 windows of the 18th century town hall are the "doors"). In Gengenbach is a division of the University of Applied Science, Offenburg.

The twin city of Gengenbach is Obernai, Alsace, France.
