Genesis "Gennie" Walker (née Pascoe) is a fictional character in Emmerdale, played by Sian Reese-Williams.[1]

[edit] Overview
Genesis Walker was due to return to the Dales on Tuesday, April 1, much to the shock of her estranged father Shadrach Dingle and her biological half sister, Chas Dingle.
Genesis is not your typical Dingle and she's in for a real culture shock when she meets her biological family and her planned meeting with her father – who gave her up for adoption – is scuppered by a shock road accident, leaving her fighting for her life in hospital.
[edit] April 2008: Genesis' arrival
On April 1, Shadrach prepared to meet his daughter, as the other Dingles got suspicious of his behaviour (he had showered and cleaned himself up) he lied and pretended that he was meeting a date.
Meanwhile, Paddy Kirk's car had been vandalised the night before so his cousin, Ross, had offered him a lift to an appointment in his car. Ross took his eyes of the road for a second only to accidentally knock over a mysterious women who was heading into the village.
Gennie lay seemingly unhurt on the side of the road, she tried to stand only to collapse and be taken away to the hospital. It was revealed the following day that she had suffered from a concussion. She had frequent visits from Paddy, but seemed more interested in Ross.
[edit] Meeting Shadrach
In late April, Paddy invited her to Eli Dingle's birthday party. Whilst there, a drunken Shadrach hit on her. When she learned his name was Shadrach, she realised he must be her father, as they had the same name. She blurted this news out to Paddy, but the music suddenly turned off as she was speaking, meaning the whole Dingle family heard her. She ran out of the house, humiliated, but Paddy convince her to talk to Shadrach. Shadrach told her about his relationship with her mother and why he'd given her away, and they became close.
