Genesi

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Genesi is computer company focused on building Power Architecture computers. The organization is split into two units, Genesi USA, Inc. working out of Texas, USA, operating as the primary front-end for sales, customers and developers, and bplan GmbH based in Germany as the primary center for research and development.

Genesi used to develop the MorphOS operating system but a schism between them and the developing team forced development to be put on hold. However, Genesi remains main supporter for the platform and continues to provide development resources.

Genesi is a part of Power.org promoting the use of Power Architecture technology, and also runs PowerDeveloper - a support site for both Genesi products and Power Architecture solutions from other manufacturers.
