General Post Office, also known as the GPO, is an Australia Post building.
Opened on 28 September 1872, the GPO is located between Queen Street and Elizabeth Street, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
The Queensland Museum was housed in part of the General Post Office building from 1873, until the museum moved to the William Street building in 1879.
Directly opposite the GPO building is Post Office Square
