Othmar Pfannes, Hugo Fluhler, Andreas Krause and Alistair Smith jointly founded Genedata AG with financing from the Novartis Venture Fund after the Sandoz and Ciba-Geigy merger. The company is headquartered in Basel, Switzerland with offices in Boston, San Francisco, Munich, Germany and operations in Japan.
