Gen first exercised his innate acumen for beauty with his winning creations as a hairstylist Educational Director for Yosh for Hair in California. He moved to New York City in 1983 and was pursued by many fashion magazines like Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour, Seventeen, Cosmo, Redbook and Mademoiselle. After many successes, artful vision began to be expressed through the eyes of Gen. He traded in his blow-dryer for a Hasselblad. Though Gen’s art changed venues, his success remained the same. Soon major US-Int'l publishers [Condé Naste, Hearst, Filipacchi, Figaro] were clamoring for his work. Gen resides in the historically artistic community of Greenwich Village in NYC.
