Gen Nakatani

Gen Nakatani (中谷 元 Nakatani Gen) is a Japanese politician who served as head of the Japan Defense Agency in the first cabinet of Junichiro Koizumi.
NB: Gen is a personal name, not an abbreviation of General. Military personnel are forbidden from serving in Japanese cabinets under the current Japanese Constitution of 1946/1947. (He is a RETIRED Japan Ground Self-Defense Force officer.)
