Carhenge: Genius or Junk?

Carhenge: Genius or Junk? is a 2005 documentary about Carhenge. Located in Western Nebraska, Carhenge has become a huge tourist attraction and also a center of local controversy. Creator, Jim Reinders challenges a community's definition of art, freedom of political expression, and appropriate land use development. This documentary focuses on Reinders' plight to erect the monument, then to keep it from being dismantled. It also talks about apsects of public art and how in many forms of art it is often more about group unity than the final end-product. The program runs 26:40.

The director, David Liban is a professor at the University of Colorado Denver. [1]
